Product Owner

InMotion Hosting is growing fast and we’re looking a Product Owner to help us stay ahead of the crowd. As our Product Owner you will be focusing on the development and continued success of software designed with the user’s experience in mind. The primary areas of emphasis for this role are process efficiencies, product development, and customer relationship management.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify and improve upon key user journeys through new and existing software.
  • Make improvements to your Software against internal and external benchmarks including maintaining a parity chart of competitors.
  • Maintain Software Road Map.
  • Lead productive Standups, Story Pointing, Sprint Presentations, etc. according to the Agile process.
  • Create wireframes, interaction flows/diagrams, mockups/demos, etc. with a mind to efficiency vs features.
  • Prioritize and complete Backlog Tickets for your respective software(s).
  • Deliver Product Spotlight Presentations to stakeholders and executives.
  • Act as Project Sponsor and Lead on any related projects.
  • Communicate with Stakeholder Department Points of Contact and/or Product Line Managers.
  • Perform competitor analysis of related products.
  • Establish accurate and easy to access business intelligence data to track effectiveness of product and feature changes.

Ideal Candidates Have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner in an agile environment; focusing on software creation.
  • Experience with web hosting technologies and products.
  • Technical project management experience across areas such as: development, system administration, product development, web design, and customer experience.
  • Experience effectively managing and prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with project management software tools.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships.

 

The below is optional but can help make you a top candidate:

  • Experience managing projects and products within the web hosting/web design industry.
  • Experience working with a software development team.
  • Ability to keep user experience and functionality in mind.
  • PMI background and/or certifications.
