Technical Support Trainer

Do you want to be a vital part of a growing company? InMotion Hosting is looking for a talented and dedicated trainer to join our team. We were founded in Los Angeles in 2001 and have since expanded to Virginia Beach, VA and Denver, CO. We’re looking for someone who will be able to continue this growth in our Virginia office by coaching our new employees on all aspects of their jobs including technical and customer service skills.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and deliver technical curriculum and product knowledge across all departments for new hires and professional development for existing team members.
  • Utilize a learning management system to conduct mock and monitored contacts.
  • Track and meet training metrics in regards to time in training and quality of delivery.
  • Coach trainees to meet performance requirements
  • Report on the progress and expected milestone dates of new employees.
  • Participate in external events focused on candidate selection, lead generation, and company branding.

Ideal candidates have:

  • Strong knowledge in web hosting technologies, especially DNS, email, and WordPress.
  • Web hosting or technical training experience or combination of education and experience.
  • Work schedule flexibility to accommodate training across shifts.
  • Knowledge of the Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) stack
  • Ability to effectively communicate and transfer technical knowledge to non- technical and highly technical audiences.

 

The below is optional but can help make you a top candidate:

  • Experience in a call center or helpdesk environment.
  • Experience creating content for new training material.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop job/training tools.
  • College degree preferred.
